Detox: The First
Step to Recovery.
Step to Recovery.
Detox is only the first step in addiction treatment, but it’s a vital one. Until clients rid the addictive substance or substances from their systems, it’s impossible to make any progress toward recovery. For this reason, Grace Recovery’s drug and alcohol detox center offers detox programs with three goals: to thoroughly evaluate, stabilize, and prepare each client for the next steps of addiction treatment.

Our Levels of Care
At Grace Recovery, we believe in rehabilitation that consists of comprehensive addiction treatment programs. For this reason, we offer medical detox, 30, 60, and 90-day residential programs, as well as options for outpatient treatment and aftercare services. Our expert staff can guide you through every step of your recovery journey.
When clients first arrive at our drug and alcohol detox center, we collect as much information about their medical history as possible. This includes information on past and present health conditions, both physical and mental. We also use urinalysis to confirm which substances are in our clients’ systems when they arrive.
Once we collect all of this essential background information, we begin to craft a preliminary treatment plan. Our team creates customized treatment plans for each client that are specific to their particular circumstances and needs. As this is a preliminary plan, it is subject to change. Often, clients present with different symptoms once they detox from a substance. They may begin to show signs of depression, for example, or their anxiety symptoms may subside. An adaptable treatment plan is crucial in responding to these changes.

Once we feel confident we have enough information to create a preliminary treatment plan, stabilization work begins. This can include ensuring compliance with a medication assisted treatment regimen, as well as education about the process of detoxification.
Often, clients enter a drug and alcohol detox center not knowing much about detox other than the fact that it’s uncomfortable. At Grace Recovery, we teach clients about every aspect of the process, including physical, psychological, and emotional components. While detox is different for everyone, it feels much more approachable once clients know precisely what to expect.
Preparing for Treatment + Recovery
The final goal of our detox programs is to prepare clients for their next steps. After all, physical detox is only the first step in a long recovery journey. To do this, we begin to integrate treatment modalities as clients reach the end stages of detox. This facilitates a smooth transition into other addiction treatment programs.
Group therapy is one modality that we introduce during detoxification. In these groups, we focus on topics like accumeditation, treatment planning, and community building. Therapy groups are an excellent opportunity to build bonds with others in treatment and learn how to relate to others.
Clients will have the option to meet with a therapist while in our detox programs. During these therapy sessions, we discuss issues like self-care and emotional regulation. We also use these sessions as an opportunity for education. All clients have different needs, so we teach about topics that are relevant to their situations. These topics can include post-acute withdrawal syndrome and medication-assisted therapy, to name a few.
Clients also work with a case manager during their detox programs. During these sessions, we establish a more robust treatment plan that can extend all the way to discharge. We discuss goals and when clients will step down to lower levels of care. This plan ensures that everyone is on the same page and is working toward the same goals.
We Work With Most Major Insurance Providers.
